    Sorry to report that “A Piece of Ireland” in Newark, DE has closed shop. However its sister pub “Sheridan’s” (sp?) in Smyrna, DE is still in operation.

    Marty Magee’s in Prospect Park, PA is a great little irish pub, or atleast I founded it for that purpose :)

    The Red Rooster Inn in N.E.Philadelphia
    serves lovely Irish breakfast every Sunday morning @10 am to 1:30 pm. Jeanette makes the Irish soda bread, and it is delicious!

    Also we are known for the most delicious crab cakes.

    Slainte Irish Pub & Grill at 30th St and Market across from the train station is a great Irish pub wit live Irish music on Mondays. The food is pretty good too, especially the burgers.

    Hi,

    I used to live in Philly back in 1994 and I always drank in a little bar called “The Irish Kitchen” on Pratt st. I wrote a song about a night out and wanted to get it to them if it’s still open. I tried calling but the number online is no longer listed.

    How about Paddy Rooney’s Pub, 449 West Chester Pike, Havertown, Pa 19083. Live GAA games from Ireland, guinness draft. Best caterer of Irish fare around.

    Molly Maguier’s Pubs is in Phoenixville and Lansdale. Our owners Declan Mannion(from Galaway) and Conor Cummins(from Cork) upon forming a wonderful friendship in the states have created a true Irish Pub feeling for us Americans. Truly a treat for anyone in the area to visit,

    I moved into Philly about a year ago. Back home (Virginia) I went to a Pub that had a sign that said, “pay the bar $10 if you request Danny Boy, musicians that played songs like Bog Down in the Valley, Black and Tans, Peggy Gordon, Big Strong Man, and many more. Also, you had to be able to take a verbal beating at the door to get in.

    I loved it.
    I have yet to find a bar with that kind of music in Philly. I have been all over most of the Center City Bars. Can anyone provide me with some recommendations?
